The Learning Styles For Adult Learners - 2017 Words
As an adult learner, it is important to learn about some of the academic concepts in learning styles to help with life situations possibly or to learn the best way to handle other people. In this paper, there will be three academic concepts discussed for adult learners that might be useful for everyday life. The first concept that will be discussed is the Kolb learning style. There is diverging style, assimilating style, and converging style in the Kolb learning style. This will be further discussed in details later on in the paper. This learning style is useful for adults to learn their own way of learning. The second academic concept that will be discussed is the Johari Window. There are four windows in the Johari learning style that will be discussed later. The four windows are Open/Free Area, Blind Area, Hidden Area, and the Unknown Area. The Johari Window is important for a person to understand themselves and others. This is also important for a person to figure out things they might not know about themselves to help them become a person possibly. All this will be further discussed later on in the paper. The last academic concept that will be discussed is the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. These seven habits were created by Stephen R. Convey.
